PICTURE AND VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS FOR SALE CONSIGNMENTS
We request that you have your animal fitted to Top of the World standards; clean and clipped is recommended. We recommend filming your consignment off the halter as many heifers look better walking naturally.
Please film in a clean, dry, well-lit area. A video camera is recommended for filming your heifer, although smart phones have proven to be sufficient in quality. Please remember to hold your smart phone horizontally when filming. RAW VIDEO IS REQUIRED. Please do not send already produced video. Provide the raw video footage, so that all the consignments have the same format of video presented. NO YOUTUBE or similar links will be accepted.
Please try to record each side of the heifer as she is walking and, depending on her stage of development, a rear udder focus would also be beneficial. Please film ample footage, and do not worry about the sound or editing, as that will be handled by the sale office.
A still photo of your consignment, a candid while doing the video or a picture taken by a professional photographer, will also work very well.
Please have your video and/or still pictures to Autumn Bowlby or your area representative by September 17, 2021 (or earlier). This allows time for editing and re-filming if needed. Please call Autumn with any questions or for video advice at 614-322-4473. Most emails cannot handle videos due to the file size. When you talk to Autumn, she will need your email address and will forward you a dropbox folder link to place the video in.
