Annual Awards
Nominations are due in the AJCA office no later than January 15 each year for consideration by the Board of Directors for the Master Breeder, Distinguished Service, and Young Jersey Breeder awards.
Master Breeder Award
The Master Breeder Award is bestowed annually upon a living AJCA member, family, partnership, or corporation, who, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, has bred outstanding animals for many years and thereby has made a notable contribution to the advancement of the Jersey breed in the United States.

Distinguished Service Award
The Distinguished Service Award is bestowed annually upon as many living AJCA members and/or members’ families, who, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, have rendered outstanding and unselfish service for many years and thereby have made a notable contribution to the advancement of the Jersey breed in the United States.
AJCA-NAJ Award for Meritorious Service :
The Award for Meritorious Service is bestowed annually upon a living individual, who, in the joint opinion of the Boards of Directors of the American Jersey Cattle Association and National All-Jersey Inc., has made a notable contribution to the advance Jersey breed and the livelihood of Jersey owners in the United States through research, education, development, marketing, or other significant activities of the allied dairy industry.
Young Jersey Breeder Award
The Young Jersey Breeder Award is bestowed annually upon as many living AJCA members and/or members’ families, who, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, merit recognition. Nominees must be active members of the American Jersey Cattle Association and under 40 years of age as of January 1 of the contest year. Selection is based upon expertise in dairy farming and Jersey cattle breeding; participation in AJCA and NAJ programs; and leadership in Jersey and other dairy and agricultural organizations.
National Jersey Youth Achievement Contest
Youth are nominated for this contest through state Jersey associations or, for states that do not have an active Jersey organization, through application to the AJCA office. Contact the president or youth leader of your state organization for more information. Nomination deadline is March 1 annually.

National Jersey Youth Production Contest
Cows recorded in the Herd Register or with Generation Count 4 or greater that complete a lactation record with a Data Collection Rating of at least 90, in no more than 305-days between January 1 and December 31 of the contest year may be entered. The Recorded Owner must be (1) between the ages of nine (9) and 20 (inclusive) on January 1 of the contest year; (2) a member (junior or lifetime) of the American Jersey Cattle Association; and (3) listed on the cow's Certificate of Registration in an eligible ownership on or before her freshening date and through completion of the lactation. Previous winners are not eligible. Entry deadline is March 1 annually.
