Closing Date
Ad copy is due in the Journal office by the first day of the preceding month of publication. For example, an ad in the October issue would be due September 1. Contract advertisers who do not submit new copy by the deadline will have a recent ad repeated.

Discount
A discount of 10% of the advertising space rate will be given to advertisers who confirm the space order and provide all copy by the deadline.

Cancellation and Changes
Cancellation of the order or changes of the copy will not be accepted after the closing date. Changes made in the ad copy by the advertiser that are not the errors of the Journal staff will be charged at a minimum of $10.00.

Before advertising, advertisers should read the Policy of the Jersey Journal and contact the Editor with questions. The right is reserved to decline or discontinue any advertisement for reasons satisfactory to the publisher. 

Billing
Advertisers will be billed following publication of the ad. Net amount due in 30 days or less. No agency discounts are allowed.

Color
Color is available upon request. Please contact the staff for approximate charges before making decisions. Color separations and handling charges, plus any special art costs, will be billed to the advertiser.

Farm Logos
Logos are acceptable provided a clear copy is provided to the Journal staff. Artwork is available at a charge of $50.00 per hour. Creation of an uncomplicated logo usually takes between 1-1/2 and 3 hours.

Corrections
An ad proof will be mailed/faxed/emailed to each advertiser when the ad is composed. It is the responsibility of the advertiser to identify errors in the copy and to bring them to the attention of the Jersey Journal. Changes made in the ad copy by the advertiser that are not the errors of the Journal staff will be charged at a minimum of $10.00.

Contract Advertising
Breeders contracting for advertising are required to run a minimum of one ad, at least one (1) inch in size, for a minimum of 12 issues. Contact the Jersey Journal staff for complete information on contract advertising. 

State Pages
Jersey cattle breeders who reside in a state that has a contract with the Jersey Journal qualify for contract advertising rates. Contract rates are also offered for special sections in the magazine.

NOTICE TO ADVERTISERS
Advertising for sales scheduled prior to the 20th of the month of publication are accepted at the advertiser's risk.
