As adopted by the AJCA Board of Directors, upon recommendation of the All American Show and Sale Junior Activities Committee. Read carefully and comply with these rules. Eligibility
Rule 2, Entries. Animals must be registered in the Herd Register of the American Jersey Cattle Association (i.e., have GR or HR status), or have registry status of 75% or higher with the Canadian Jersey Cattle Club. The exhibitor must be listed as Recorded Owner on the registration certificate, either (1) as the sole owner or (2) by his/her name in joint ownership. If the joint ownership includes more than one eligible exhibitor, one of them must be declared as the exhibitor during check-in. Animals must be registered and/or transferred to meet one of the above ownership requirements no later than August 1, 2009. The recording date is the postmark date and will be considered the date of registration and/or transfer. Rule 3, Participation. Only one animal may be exhibited by each exhibitor in any one class. To be eligible to compete for cash awards, an animal must be shown by the junior exhibitor in all cases except by prior written approval from NAILE. If NAILE approved, another junior must show the animal. Adults are not allowed to show in any case. Rule 4, Breeder Status. In order to qualify for Premier Breeder points, the exhibitor must be the only person recorded as the animal’s Breeder.
Note: The above rules pertain only to eligibility. See the NAILE Premium List for all rules governing The All American Junior Jersey Show.

. . . the details. We want you to have a great time at this All American. Here
are a few things to keep in mind as you get ready. What
To Wear.
Wear white trousers and the shirt that you will receive on Friday.
Shirts for exhibitors are provided courtesy of Cow's Match Jersey Blend,
Land O'Lakes Animal Milk Products Co. The NAILE requires you to wear a
harness with your entry number card for each class when you are in the
ring. The Junior Banquet is a more “dress-up” affair. Get
To The Ring On Time.
The show must be completed in time for the start of the Pot O’Gold Sale
at 4:00 p.m. You can help the judges in several ways. First, get to the
make-up ring on time for your class. Move quickly into the line-up and
then follow directions from the ringmen once your class begins to enter the
show ring. Code of Conduct. When you show at the All American, you are participating in the greatest show of Jerseys in the world and before an audience of people from around the world. It is your responsibility to uphold that image of greatness by the way you prepare your cattle and how you present them in the ring. Review the Show Ring Code of Ethics in the NAILE Premium List. Showmanship Contest. The easiest way to enter the contest is when you pick up your shirt and name badge on Friday evening at the AJCA booth. The showmanship contests will be
held on Sunday during the milk-out of the National Jersey Jug Futurity.
You will receive detailed instructions when you register for the
showmanship class. The Futurity begins at 12:30 p.m. We expect that all
showmanship contestants will need to be in the make-up ring no later than
1:30 p.m. on Sunday. You will be called to the make-up ring, so plan to
listen for the announcement once the Futurity class is introduced. Please note:
If you plan to lead a milking cow in the showmanship
contest, she does not need to be bagged. The judges will not discriminate
in their placings by how much milk a cow does, or does not have. Also,
cows entered in the National Jersey Jug Futurity cannot be led for
showmanship. Banquet
tickets. Tickets for family members and others who wish to attend the
banquet may be purchased on Saturday at the AJCA booth.
The banquet is usually a sell-out, so purchase tickets early in the day.
Your ticket to the Junior Banquet is provided compliments of consignors
and buyers in the National Heifer Sale, the Maurice E. Core Youth Fund,
the Carl Bourne Memorial Fund, state Jersey associations and Jersey
breeders, and dairy business firms. Thank You notes to the sponsors
will not only express your appreciation for their support, they will also
encourage them to continue to support the Junior Banquet. You can leave
notes at the AJCA booth during the All American, or mail them the AJCA
office following the show. We will forward them to the sponsors for you. Assistance
in Louisville.
Be sure to bring this letter with you to Louisville and, if you have any
questions, please do not hesitate to ask any of the AJCA staff. On behalf
of the Junior Activities Committee, have a safe trip and we look forward
to greeting you in Louisville for a great show of the greatest breed on
earth—Jerseys!
