Several pieces of additional and optional data may need to be reported at the time of registration.

If the animal has been issued an American ID tag number by another dairy organization, e.g. DHIA, that American ID number should be entered in the ID box under American/Foreign ID heading.

The Previous ID box should be used if an animal was issued a Uniform Series Eartag by DHIA. The nine (9) character Uniform Series Eartags follow this sequence, a two digit state code, three letters and four more digits (12ABC3456).

If the animal has been issued an electronic ID transponder, that ID can be entered in the Electronic ID box.

Service data is optional, and can be entered in the Service Date box in the following format, dd/mm/yy.

If a deceased animal is being registered in order to register progeny, the date of death should be entered in the Date of Death box in the dd/mm/yy format.

Registration certificates are issued for all animals registered unless the checkmark in the box preceding Send Registration Certificate is removed.

Official Performance Pedigrees are mailed to all TPE and REAP herds at the time of registration as part of their performance program fees. Other customers who want an Official Performance Pedigree with the registration certificate should place a checkmark in the box preceding Send Official Performance Pedigree. The fee for this service is $6.

If you want a pedigree immediately after registering the calf (and also save $3.00), be sure to write down the calf’s registration number when it is assigned (Step 14) and request the pedigree online later (Animal Reporting option).

When all the registration information has been entered, click the Continue button.
