Merial Renews All American Jersey Sale Sponsorship,
Adds Support for Second National Sale on behalf of its
IGENITY™ Brand of Services

Reynoldsburg, Ohio, March 24, 2005 —The American Jersey Cattle Association (AJCA) announced today that IGENITY™ will continue as a major sponsor of the 2005 All American Jersey Show & Sale, plus join in sponsoring the 48th National Heifer Sale.

Included in the sponsorship is a Promoter level contribution to the AJCC Research Foundation endowment fund that will be presented by IGENITY representatives at the all-donation heifer sale on June 25 at the fairgrounds in Washington, Pennsylvania.

“Support from the allied dairy industry makes it possible for the AJCA to pursue its mission of improving and promoting the Jersey breed of cattle,” noted Neal Smith, Executive Secretary and CEO. “We appreciate the confidence that Merial has shown in the Jersey business by continuing its sponsorship relationship with the All American and expanding that to include the National Heifer Sale in 2005."

This is the third consecutive year that IGENITY and Merial will have a sponsorship role in the All American Jersey Sale, the premier Registered Jersey™ promotional sale in the world. Averaging $5,863.57 on 70 lots, the 2004 event in Louisville, Ky., was the fifth best in the series of 52 sales held to date.

“We are pleased to become the Presenting Sponsor of the 53rd All American Sale,” said Rod Goodall, Director of Livestock Production Business for IGENITY.  “Jersey breeders have demonstrated their willingness to think out of the box and adopt tools that enable them to generate more profits from their herds and IGENITY DNA tests and services can become another important tool for greater profitability.”
